Remington Beach Club - dieses noble Quintett aus Bremen beschenkt sein Publikum seit fünf Jahren mit intelligentem, tanzbarem Indie-Punk-N-Roll. Es knallt zwar mehr, als dass es schrammelt, aber "Indie" weil wegen unabhängig (DIY-Label) und so. Klassisch besetzt und furztrocken transportiert die rollende Riff- und Rhythmuslokomotive aus Schlagzeug, Bass und zwei Gitarren Sänger Dr. Smidtrocks Stimme - mal zuckersüß, mal kantig - von Garagenrockhausen bis nach Power-Pop-City. So zu hören auf der 2007 bei meraklis records erschienenen EP "Welcome to..." oder live, wo Dr. Smidtrock von seinem Quartett mit sechzehn Saiten durch eine schweißtreibende "Punkrockdiskoshowski" (Zitat Heinolan Valot Festival-Guide) getragen wird. Nachdem der Club im Sommer 2008 auf Tour durch Finnland und den norddeutschen Raum (Headliner Breminale) das Publikum auf seine Seite geholt hat, ist nun der erste Longplayer "My Trivial Pursuit of Happiness" fertiggestellt. Er erschien am 13.11.2009.

Remington Beach Club, this Bremen based noble five-piece association provides a gift since 2003: music. Music that's sometimes regarded as indie ear candy, sometimes as stadium rock for nerds, but so much is for sure: drums, bass, two guitars. This steaming rhythm'n'riff locomotive brings singer Schmidtrock's voice - sweet and edgy - to all those places between Garage Rock Village and Power Pop City. His voice snookers most of those highly appraised rock shouters, and might have broken some hearts in the past years. You can't believe it? Go buy the 2007 "Welcome to..." After burning down Finland and their hometown Bremen in the summer of 2008, the band was working on new recordings.
